Food Export Compliance Stack: GMP, HACCP, Halal, ISO 22000 and Buyer Requirements

August 17, 2026 · Updated August 17, 2026

Food exporters often treat certificates as separate badges, but buyers evaluate the complete control system. Legal approvals, GMP, sanitation, traceability, hazard analysis, supplier control, allergen management where relevant, temperature control and corrective action should reinforce one another.

HACCP identifies significant food-safety hazards and controls. ISO 22000 can formalise a wider food-safety management system. Halal requirements address product, ingredient and process integrity for relevant markets. Buyer specifications may add stricter microbiological, chemical, social or packaging requirements.
